The Development History Of SMILE

Me & Caleb have agreed to share to you the development history of smile & how smile is going on today & also what we plan to do in the future.
3 Months Prior To SMILE's Release
Caleb pitches to me an idea during downtime between classes about a game based on Smile Dog. I think its a cool concept. You get emailed a picture of Smile Dog & must close the emails. A simple game idea, we start working on a small demo & come up with a little house.
Its also around here where Dominic joins in as a graphic designer
I had already made most of the textures in the game, but Dominic helped out with the remaining textures.
2 Months Prior To SMILE's Release
So now. Things are going well, we have a working prototype of the Email system, which generates a random number 1-2000 every 30 frames & if it is over 1950 it will get an email.
Everything is cool.
I continue to work on sprites & caleb continues work on the story. Its about here where I make the SMILE DEMON sprite art & named it bob. I thought it was pretty cool. It was completely unrelated to SMILE at the time though
1 Month Prior to SMILE's Release
Caleb is finished with the story. I'm almost finished with the random generation code & the Smile Dog AI.
I realized here that Dominic was forcing us to pay him to make the sprites & textures now. So I decided to make the rest myself. And it turned out pretty cool.
Its about here where Me & Caleb decided to replace the Smile Dog in the game with the beloved bob so we could make money off of the game.
1 Week After SMILE's Release
Caleb decided to cut Dominic out of SMILE because he was charging us for making sprites, & keep in mind this is mostly non-profit & it would be a death sentence to ask our parents for how much he's charging. And he got mad, reasonably. Its about here where Quin joined in as a map creator & Gio as a concept artist. & Dominic threatens to steal SMILE in its entirety. Caleb doesn't think he has the balls to im getting scared because I know he can code & he could come to my house and steal the project file on a hard drive at any time. So nobody knows what to do. We kick him outta Ratmen Productions.
